The latest of the videos featuring Buttons, the radical Boy Scout, has
been posted.
He is still trying to learn the Cub Scout Promise from Michael, the
radical Cub Scout. Unfortunately, Buttons is not the brightest Cub in
the Pack. I am sure you will get a chuckle or two from this, the
second video of this series.

BlueCross BlueShield of Michigan has donated $1,000 to Hiawathaland Boy Scout Council and Girl Scouts of Peninsula Waters Council in support of their upcoming Scouting Centennial Celebration.

The fun and fitness themed family event will be presented May 18 – 20 at the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. Activities will include Pinewood Derby and Rope Runner competitions, Brownsea Games, Fun and Fit activities, Scouting Around the World displays, tours of the Pocket Park and Gas and Steam Engine Village, and a day-long art project presented by the Bonifas Center.

BSA President Rick Cronk has announced that Chief Scout Executive (CSE) Roy Williams will retire September 1st. Cronk has appointed a CSE Selection Committee to have a new CSE in place by June 1st. This committee consists of John Gottschalk, James Turley, Rex Tillerson, Aubrey Harwell, Wayne Perry, Tico Perez and Roy Roberts. Cronk will serve as chairman.
